Thanks to the success he got two other commissions:
the Gavani Crucifixion (1502-1503) with the lively predella and
the Marriage of the Virgin (1504).
Both works reflect Perugino's style,
however, with a more participatory
representation of the characters.
It can therefore be said that
with the Crucifixion and the Marriage,
Raphael begins to develop his own original poetics. |
