VENUS AND ADONIS

In the spring opened a tree and Adonis was born.

Venus took with him the child and after having raised entrusted him to Persephone, goddess of the underworld.

Adonis became a beautiful young man, then Venus wished him back, but up Persephone did not want to renounce Adonis. Zeus intervened then granted for six months Adonis to Venus and for six months to Persephone.

But at the end of the summer whilst hunting Adonis was uploaded from an angry boar and came to death.

Torn Venus wept and her tears generated anemones.
