ST. AGNESE FUORI LE MURA

The mosaic of the seventh century, we see in the apse of St. Agnes Fuori le Mura (=Outside the Walls), is an exceptional example of the Byzantine style, represented by stylized portraits of St. Agnes and the popes Symmachus and Honorius standing out on gold in the background.
