SANT’EUSTACHIO

The Rione (=quarter) S. Eustachio takes its name from the church. If you look at the roof you see the head of a deer, that depicts the legend after which S. Eustachio was converted by having seen a deer with a cross on its head. The bell tower was built in the XII century, while the church was almost totally rebuilt between 1701 and 1730 by Giovanni Battista Contini.
