Monument of Pius II Piccolomini

The monument of Pius II Piccolomini, like that of Pius III, was transported from a chapel demolished to make way for the Basilica of St. Peter and reassembled in S. Andrea della Valle in 1614.

The author is unknown but the influences of Andrea Bregno and Mino da Fiesole are evident.
