Palazzo dei Conservatori
The building together with the Palazzo Nuovo is the main seat of the Capitolini museums. The name comes from the Conservatori an institution that in the Middle Ages together with the Senate ran the city of Rome.
Michelangelo designed the facade that was built by Giacomo della Porta who renovated the interior, particularly he built a large hall, so that in center of the façade we see a window larger than the others (photo 4).
